These terms apply to your use of this website, including CogniBot and the contact form. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy, and what the site stores on your device in our cookie policy. Both form part of these terms.

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

Break in

Try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any system connected to it.

Disrupt

Attack the site, overload it, or introduce viruses or other harmful code.

Abuse the tools

Send spam, automated or bulk messages through the contact form or CogniBot, or try to get round the spam check or the limits on how often they can be used.

Misuse CogniBot

Try to make it produce harmful, unlawful or misleading content, or to reveal its instructions.

Harvest

Copy or scrape the site's content in bulk, including to train AI models, without our written permission.

The pages here describe what we do and how we work. They are not a quotation, an offer, or a promise to take on any particular piece of work.

Sending us a message does not create a contract. Anything we agree to build, staff or support is set out in a separate written agreement signed by both sides. Where that agreement and this website disagree, the agreement wins.

A job enquiry is not an application for a specific vacancy, and does not guarantee that we will put you forward for a role.

CogniBot answers questions about Cognivise using artificial intelligence. Its answers are generated automatically from information on this site and may be incomplete or wrong. They are not advice, a quotation or a commitment, and nothing CogniBot says changes these terms or any agreement with us.

Please do not enter confidential information or personal details about other people. We may limit how often CogniBot can be used, and we may change or withdraw it at any time.

The text, images, design, code, logos and brand marks on this site belong to Cognivise Limited or are used with permission. You may view, print and share pages for your own reference, as long as you keep them intact and say where they came from.

You may not republish our content as your own, use it commercially, copy the site's design, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests a relationship with us that does not exist.

For work we carry out under a written agreement, the software, source code and documentation we create for you are yours by default, kept in your own repositories and accounts and handed over as the work goes rather than at the end.

Tools, libraries and components we built before the project, or build for general use across projects, stay ours. Where they form part of what we deliver, you receive a permanent, royalty-free licence to use, change and keep using them as part of that software. Open-source components remain under their own licences, and third-party services remain under their providers' terms.

The written agreement for your project sets out the details, and it takes priority over this summary.

We keep this site accurate and current as best we can, but we do not promise that every page is complete, up to date or error-free, or that the site will always be available. We may change or remove any part of it at any time.

Nothing on this site is professional advice for your particular situation. Ask us and we will answer properly.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

If you use it for business purposes, we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including CogniBot's answers.

If you use it as a consumer, we are responsible only for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses, as the site is provided for domestic and private use by consumers. None of this affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Our liability for any work we do for you is governed by the written agreement for that work, not by these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Please check it when you use the site.

These terms, and any dispute about them or your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
